Cascade Realizations of Two-valued Input Multiple-Valued Output Functions using Decomposition of Group Functions

چکیده
This paper considers a method to realize a two-valued input three-valued output function by using a cascade of four-input cells. Decomposition of a group function is used to find a canonical form. We show that the Walsh spectrum specifies the canonical form, and the number of non-zero coefficients in the spectrum is proportional to the number of cells in the cascade. Finally, we show an extension to -valued function . The designed cascades are reversible and conservative.

Decomposition of H*-Algebra Valued Negative Definite Functions on Topological *-Semigroups
In the present paper, among other results, a decomposition formula is given for the w-bounded continuous negative definite functions of a topological *-semigroup S with a weight function w into a proper H*-algebra A in terms of w-bounded continuous positive definite A-valued functions on S. A generalization of a well-known result of K. Harzallah is obtained. An earlier conjecture of the author ...
متن کاملMultiple Fuzzy Regression Model for Fuzzy Input-Output Data
A novel approach to the problem of regression modeling for fuzzy input-output data is introduced. In order to estimate the parameters of the model, a distance on the space of interval-valued quantities is employed.By minimizing the sum of squared errors, a class of regression models is derived based on the interval-valued data obtained from the $alpha$-level sets of fuzzy input-output data.Then,...
متن کاملHeuristics to Minimize Multiple-Valued Decision Diagrams
In this paper, we propose a method to minimize multiple-valued decision diagrams (MDDs) for multipleoutput functions. We consider the following: (1) a heuristic for encoding the 2-valued inputs; and (2) a heuristic for ordering the multiple-valued input variables based on sampling, where each sample is a group of outputs. We first generate a 4-valued input 2-valued multiple-output function from...
متن کاملTime-Division Multiplexing Realizations of Multiple-Output Functions Based on Shared Multi-Terminal Multiple-Valued Decision Diagrams
This paper considers methods to design multiple-output networks based on decision diagrams (DDs). TDM (time-division multiplexing) systems transmit several signals on a single line. These methods reduce: 1) hardware; 2) logic levels; and 3) pins. In the TDM realizations, we consider three types of DDs: shared binary decision digrams (SBDDs), shared multiple-valued decision diagrams (SMDDs), and...
متن کاملCharacterizing Global Minimizers of the Difference of Two Positive Valued Affine Increasing and Co-radiant Functions
Many optimization problems can be reduced to a problem with an increasing and co-radiant objective function by a suitable transformation of variables. Functions, which are increasing and co-radiant, have found many applications in microeconomic analysis. In this paper, the abstract convexity of positive valued affine increasing and co-radiant (ICR) functions are discussed. Moreover, the ...
